AXA XL seeks an undergraduate for a summer internship. This opportunity gives you the chance to develop new skills, gain new experiences and interact with management (both in the US and internationally), which will be key to your future career development. You will be exposed to various areas of our business through intern events and activities.

What will your essential responsibilities include?

  • Participating in insurance informational sessions included in the program.
  • Working collaboratively on Internship Project with your group, you will be expected to present at the end of the program.
  • Working directly with your business unit and adhering to the paperless initiative; maintaining electronic customer files per our new sub-folder creation guidelines, ensuring the folders are set up correctly; creating electronic policies for issuance as well as for mid-term changes; policies and mid-terms that are ready to be issued will be sent to issuance via outlook task.
  • Providing Underwriting Support by including accurate preparation of quotes, binders, mid-term changes and policy creation; getting all work completed in a timely fashion without compromising data integrity.
  • Gaining a better understanding for the forms and endorsements; sitting in on Round Table discussions to gain a greater knowledge of the underwriting process and the type of deals we want to write.
  • Backing up other Underwriting Assistants in triaging accounts, processing quotes, binders, mid-term changes and accurately looking over policies and sending them electronically
  • Working on special projects assigned by your business unit.

  • Pursuance of an Undergraduate degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • A self-motivated problem solver with a strong attention to detail & highly organized.
  • A desire to work in the Insurance industry.
  • Excellent oral, written, and communication/presentation skills.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
