This key position is responsible for supervision and development of the Rehabilitation program. This includes supervision and coordination of staff, volunteers and student interns from local universities, as well as direct counseling. Maintaining Beneficiary occupancy at approved levels at all times is a high priority and must be done on a daily basis which involves networking in the community to guarantee the success of a full house. Responsibilities Responsible for maintaining Beneficiary occupancy at approved levels. Approved levels of occupancy will be in accordance of Command directives Selection and training of professional, para-professional and clerical support staff utilized in delivery of rehabilitation services to beneficiaries of the Adult Rehabilitation Center Supervision of admission office, development and maintenance of admissions policies and procedures and ongoing orientation of clients Supervision of Residence Manager and all residence staff, ensuring consistent adherence to all agency rules and policies and all house rules Responsible for assignment of counselors for individual/group therapy for all beneficiaries Professional and administrative supervision of counseling and para-professional staff and administrative coordination of clerical support staff in order to ensure program integrity, as well as case management through the proper utilization of professional services Administer internship training program including recruitment, liaison with local academic community and weekly supervision of student interns Chair rehabilitation staff meetings and case conferences and participate in administrative staff and residence staff meetings Participate in developing and implementing agency administrative policy relating to rehabilitation program Counsel beneficiaries individually or in groups on scheduled basis and do crisis intervention Train new staff in areas such as agency policy, department procedures and agency regulations. Provide in-service training of rehabilitation staff on an ongoing basis Preparation and maintenance of reports and records required by ARC policy and administration. Supervision of such recording and reporting by staff. Periodic audits of records and reports as required in order to fulfill duties listed above Responsible for developing 'networking' relationships with community agencies, advise them of services available at the Adult Rehabilitation Center and encourage appropriate referrals to the ARC Resolution of problems concerning case management and final disposition of client disciplinary problem Responsible for all personnel matters regarding rehabilitation staff Assess spiritual needs of beneficiaries anf refer to Chaplain as needed
This position requires a Master's degree in Social Work (M.S.W.) or related field from an accredited university. Five years administrative experience, two of which must be in treatment of addictions. Prefer clinical license LCSW, MFCC or clinical psychologist. Certificate in addictions counseling such as NAADAC (National Association of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counseling) or state certification required
Must be able to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community in a professional manner. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format as well as effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors
