Mutual Fund Administrator Guggenheim Investments About the Position Guggenheim is seeking an exceptional individual to join its Fund Administration team within the Office of the Funds’ CFO. This person will primarily be responsible for reviewing shareholder reports and regulatory filings that have been prepared by the funds’ third-party service provider for Guggenheim closed end funds and open end mutual funds. Additional responsibilities include: processing and analyzing expenses, preparing and reviewing Board materials, preparing certain financial analytics for fund attributes such as leverage, tax, and capstock activity, and other ad-hoc projects. The successful candidate will have experience in the financial services industry and be comfortable working independently as well as interacting with various levels of management. The position is located in Chicago. Specific Responsibilities Include: Review annual and semi-annual financial reports Prepare fund expenses, including allocation, review and analysis Prepare and review financial materials for the Funds’ Board of Trustees Review information for various regulatory filings, including registration statement form N-1A, forms N-PORT, N-CEN, N-CSR, 24f-2, etc. Respond to auditor requests during examinations Review quarterly IRS and SEC compliance testing Complete various third party fund surveys and ad hoc requests Assist in new fund setup including acquisition of CUSIPs and ticker symbols Complete other departmental duties as assigned Help coordinate audit cycles with third-party service provider and independent auditor Skills & Experience Required: Minimum of 1 year in Accounting or financial services industry or relevant accounting or financial services internship experience Bachelor’s degree Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet stringent deadlines without sacrificing quality Deadline and detail-oriented Strong organizational and communication skills Proficiency in MS Excel and Office Suite Ability to identify and effectively communicate issues affecting assigned funds Ability to work individually and be self-motivated What You Can Expect From Us: Collaborative environment, with honest and direct interactions Opportunity to develop, grow, and learn the broader business Health and wellness programs through comprehensive and competitive benefits package Modern, conveniently-located facilities Community and corporate citizenship through volunteer time off and matching gift programs Guggenheim Guiding Principles: Stewardship, Integrity, Excellence, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, Talent About Guggenheim Investments: Guggenheim Investments is the global asset management and investment advisory division of Guggenheim Partners, with expertise in fixed income, equity, and alternative strategies.
