This experience is intended to provide a current college student with human resource experience in a regulated business environment.

This is a part-time internship for the Fall semester of 2020. The student will work 20 hours / week; hours are flexible to accommodate class schedules.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities may include:

Employee Relations:

  • Coordinate employee/labor relations meetings including: investigations, grievance preparation/debrief meetings, grievance meetings, labor negotiations, etc.
  • Assist with strategic workforce planning
  • Participate in labor union meetings including grievance meetings and arbitrations
  • Participate in change management activities for site
  • Participate in investigation meetings
  • Assist with grievance processing and resolution
  • Talent Development:

  • Prepare for and participate in university and local career fairs, as applicable
  • Participate in development courses for leaders and managers.
  • Coordinate and prepare for New Facility Orientation and other Talent Development training programs
  • Develop and send recruiting emails
  • Review New Facility Orientation and student program feedback results and report to HR.
  • Participate in, and assist with coordinating, educational and university partnership activities
  • Talent Acquisition:

  • Find content for CSL recruiting newsletters and participate on a team to publish them
  • Participate in the seasonal hiring process for bargaining unit positions 
  • HR Operations:

  • Post union hourly jobs and process job awards
  • Assist with layoff, bumping and recall notifications
  • Assist with discipline and training documentation scanning/filing
  • Assist with grievance and investigation tracking
  • Track and communicate HR metrics
  • Compile data from online exit interviews and analyze for themes
  • Assist with analysis of employee opinion survey data 
  • Coordinate various HR related events and activities as assigned.

    Foster a culture of continuous improvement through employee selection, training and mentoring while focusing on operational efficiency and the elimination of “non-value added” activities.

    Complies with requirements from CSL Behring’s Safety Program, including Health and Safety mandates and OSHA requirements.

    Completes any other duties/responsibilities assigned by senior management.


    Enrolled in a 4-year university and pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or business related field. Students with Junior or Senior standing are preferred.


    Proficient in MS Office suite: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
