And we're looking for more.To learn more about what a career at CME Group can offer you, visit us at .CME Group - Corporate Strategy Internship Summer 2019 (or Year-Round)Corporate Strategy within CME Group is a small, highly-focused group of strategy professionals that shapes the strategic agenda of the corporation, guiding senior executive and Board of Directors discussions that determine the strategic posture and future direction of the company. Corporate Strategy works with senior leadership across departments (e.g. Sales, Business Line Management, Technology) and areas of focus (e.g. innovation, international) on identifying and understanding long-term threats and opportunities for the business, including M&A possibilities. The team provides business development assistance to senior executives in planning and executing on major corporate growth initiatives within their divisions and exploring potential new business opportunities, and helps these executives communicate their development plans both internally and to CMEs Board of Directors.The small size of the strategy group requires our interns to be strong contributors. He or she will be expected to take the initiative, work independently, participate in small cross-functional teams and produce high-quality work. Previous investment banking or consulting experience is preferred for this internship.Principal Accountabilities:Assist in researching multiple topics for current strategic initiativesAnalyze industry reports, gather internal and external data, and compose thoughtful analysisAssist in the preparation of Excel reports and PowerPoint presentationsAssist in other ad hoc projectsDevelop understanding of key products and business functions within CME GroupSkills / Software Requirements:Highly analytical and detail-oriented individual who is motivated to learn more about, and potentially pursue a career in, the financial services industryExpert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPointFamiliarity with Bloomberg terminal is a plusExperience with Tableau is a plusExcellent communication skills: written and verbalExcellent research skillsRelevant coursework is a plusEducation:Minimum GPA of 3.0Prefer graduate students with a focus in Finance, Business, International Relations, Economics, or Data Science (with a business focus)Location and Hours:Internship is local to Chicago, ILUp to 40 hours a week with a flexible work schedule during the Summer;20-40 hours a week with a flexible work schedule after Summer for year-long option
